THE STORY
EPISODE 1 - ESCAPE FROM THE IMPERIALS
Lady Blackbird and her loyal bodyguard Naomi booked passage on airship The Owl, captained by infamous smuggler Cyrus Vance. Unfortunately, the Imperial Warship Hand of Sorrow, under the command of Captain Hollas, caught up with them and the Captain threw them in the brig. Luckily, he was not aware of the identity of Lady Blackbird, thanks to her disguise. But they knew he would quickly find out once the outstanding warrants came over the wireless.
Lady Blackbird, Naomi, and Cyrus stewed in the cell along with his first mate Kale and goblin pilot Snargle. Cyrus and Snargle hatched a plan, where Snargle used his warping abilities to stick his head through the bars of the cell and pretended to be stuck, while Cyrus feigned ire at the goblin for getting them captured, pretending to choke him.
This ruckus got the attention of the Imperial Marine guarding them. He came in and tried to break them up, which was a bad move on his part. Like lightning, Naomi sprang forward, grabbed the guard, and rammed his face against the cell bars, knocking him unconscious. Snargle got the keys and, quick as a flash, they were free!
Cyrus put on the Marine's uniform and pretended to be leading the others as prisoners to the Captain. Two other Marines happened upon him and wasn't fooled by Cyrus's deception. Naomi rammed their two heads together, sending them into dreamland as well.
Kale and Lady Blackbird put on the other two Marine uniforms and the group made their way to the Communications Room. Cyrus was able to intimate the three comm workers and they tied them up. Kale sabotaged the comm, so no communication could go in, out, or within the ship.
An alarm went off and an Imperial officer burst in aiming a gun at them. He shot Naomi in the shoulder before she could reach him. Cyrus returned fire with his dual pistols and scored a hit in the arm. The officer fled, and they chased him into the corridor where Cyrus shot him twice more - this time right in the ass!
A squad of Marines stormed into the corridor, vastly outnumbering them. Lady Blackbird commanded everyone to step clear. She threw her hand out and summoned her Stormblood magic. Winds swirled around her, billowing her hair and clothes. A huge blast of wind tore down the hall, sending all the Marines flying and tumbling all over each other like bowling pins.
The group dashed off and made it to the hangar and found The Owl. They got the hangar doors open and lifted off, but not before more Marines came in on the walkway above the hangar and started shooting at them. Snargle swung The Owl's turret gun and blasted the walkway, sending the Marines sprawling onto crates and boxes on the floor below.
The Owl blasted out of the Hand of Sorrow's hangar! The multiple guns of the Imperial ship spewed lead at the much smaller ship. They were not match for Snargle's amazing, daredevil piloting acrobatics and he easily avoided the shots.
They took off, the Imperial ship not being able to keep pace.
They caught their breath on The Owl and Cyrus tried to coyly flirt with Lady Blackbird, though his crew didn't help matters by telling the Lady embarrassing stories about him.
They made their way to Haven, the most prominent of the Free Worlds, and the city of Chastity, known for its brothels. Naomi thought she saw someone following them, so Cyrus led them through a circuitous route through the city, making sure they'd lose any pursuers. Lady Blackbird was impressed by how well Cyrus knew the city and handled himself.
Cyrus took them to a tavern he frequented called The Horny Toad where Bubbles the waitress served them wings and an informant named Sam told them the pirate gang the Red Sails might have information on how to reach Lady Blackbird's lover, the Pirate King Uriah Flint, whose secret fortress is somewhere in the unnavigable Remnants.
The group decides to make their way to the pirate haven of Nightport and seek out the Red Sails...

EPISODE 2 - QUEEN SHEVA AND THE OCTOPUS GARDEN
Still on Chastity, Cyrus took the group to The Octopus's Garden, an lavish entertainment complex run by Queen Sheva, to spend the night. Cyrus and Sheva had many dealings in the past, and she arranged for the group to spend the night in her two best rooms. She also arranged for the women Cyrus usually spent the night with, but Cyrus quickly sent them away as his heart was set on Lady Blackbird, though his feelings were still unknown to her.
The group spent the night at The Octopus's Garden in various pursuits. Lady Blackbird played poker and did so well another patron, who was rather drunk, accused her of cheating. Naomi took care of his protests by slamming his face into the poker table.
Cyrus stayed in the room, composing love poetry to Lady Blackbird and drawing sketches of her, while Kale spent some time with the lovely Sparkles, one of the women who worked for Sheva.
Meanwhile, Snargle was getting into trouble, asking for the strongest drink in the place, Banshee's Breath, which promptly made him sick and produced an inferno in his stomach. He also blurted out the identity of Lady Blackbird, who had been in disguise, and that was even before he got drunk!
Kale and Snargle returned to the room, where Snargle proceeded to vomit all over Cyrus's poetry, while the Lady and Naomi went to their room.
The next morning, Queen Sheva summoned them. She revealed she knew Lady Blackbird's true identity, thanks to Snargle's loose lips, and said it put her in a difficult position because of how much the Imperials wanted the Lady returned. After some negotiating and a large bribe from Cyrus, Sheva agreed to keep their presence a secret. She suggested they leave Chastity as soon as possible as even with her silence, rumors spread quickly and the news of the Lady's presence would probably get out. She also told them where they could find the Red Sails pirates, who could help them navigate the deadly Remnants and find the Pirate King Uriah Flint.
They negotiated the streets of Chastity but unfortunately Cyrus crashed into an apple cart and made a commotion, drawing unwanted attention. A group of ruffians realized Lady Blackbird was with them and advanced on them. Naomi showed tremendous strength by picking up the apple cart and hurling it at the would-be attackers, causing them to disperse. Kale then used magic to create a cloud of darkness shrouding them from the crowd.
They were able to make their way back to The Owl and Snargle wasted no time flying them out of there.
Thinking they were safe for the time being, Cyrus cooked a hearty meal for all of them. When Lady Blackbird went to the lavatory, they heard a scuffle and were shocked to see her being held at gunpoint by a woman named Snow, known as the best bounty hunter in The Wild Blue. Cyrus had past dealings with her, including a brief romantic relationship.
Snow had stowed aboard while they were in town and placed a restraining collar around the Lady's neck to prevent her from speaking and using magic. Cyrus tried to reason with Snow but the kick-ass hunter was eager to claim the huge bounty on the Lady's head.
Cyrus gave Snargle a nearly imperceptible signal and Snargle made his way to the cockpit, intending to pull some fancy maneuvers and throw Snow off balance. Snow picked up on their plan and proceed to jump out of the airship with the Lady.
Cyrus dove for them but couldn't get there in time. He saw wings extend from a jetpack on Snow's back and she shot off with the Lady. Snargle immediately pursued but then they heard a very disturbing sound: the mating call of a sky squid. And it was emanating from their ship!
They discovered Snow had put beacon on The Owl's hull, mimicking the sky squid call. And it worked, as a huge squid almost three times the length of their ship emerged from the lower depths.
Kale tied a rope around his waist, used magnetic grips, and acrobatically made his way across the hull while the ship was flying through the air. He managed to detach the beacon and toss it away from the ship, drawing the squid away from them and saving them from a terrible fate. But not a inky barrage as the squid shot ink all over the ship and Kale.
The picked up a small blip on the radar and pursed it, spotting a jetpack through the clouds below them. Cyrus used his warpblood ability to daringly teleport onto the back of the jetpack, but when he went to grapple Snow, he found nothing but a straw dummy attached to the jetpack. Snow had escaped with the Lady, leaving Cyrus and the crew wondering how in the world they would find them...

EPISODE 3 - BOUNTY HUNTERS AND THEME PARKS
The crew headed disguised The Owl as an Imperial Ship named Top Gun and head for Wind Falls, which Snow had mentioned and which was just inside Imperial space. They headed to the Kellier Breeze tavern for information. Unfortunately, instead of information, they were accosted by a very large man named Olaf who believed Cyrus had slept with his wife, probably because Snow had told him that.
Of course, a huge barfight ensued! But thanks to Kale's light magic, which blinded everyone in the tavern, the crew was able to slip out the back door. They made their way to the Six Winds Theme Park, where Cyrus and Snow had gone on a date one time. At the Sno-Cone stand, besides getting delicious sno-cones, the cheery teen clerk passed them a note from Snow, which had a drawing of a raven on it and a message from Snow. They figured Snow had gone to the nearby town of Raven's Claw.
They made their way way without incident and found Snow and Lady Blackbird in the middle of the town square, surrounded by five nasty-looking bounty hunters who were out for the bounty on the Lady as well. After a fierce fight, they managed to defeat the bounty hunters and made their way back to the ship with the Lady and Snow. Snow told them she'd give the Lady back to them without a fight since they came to her aid, as long as they agreed to split whatever reward the Pirate King Uriah Flint paid for the Lady's delivery.
As they blasted out of Imperial space, Snow told Cyrus in private that Flint might not be the man the Lady remembers and that it was rumored he had begun to dabble in dark magic. Cyrus had to decide if he was going to pass this information on to Lady Blackbird...

EPISODE 4 - CAPTAIN BLOOD AND THE RED SAILS
The Lady, Cyrus, and the others made their way to the pirate haven of Nightport to seek out the Red Sails pirate gang, who supposedly knew the secret route through the Remnants to Flint's lair. They ran into two Red Sails, pirates - Logan and Scrappy - who Snow, Kale, and Snargle had bested in the past. With a nice bribe, Cyrus convinced the not-so-dynamic duo to take them to the Red Sails leader, Captain Victor Blood.
On the way their, they were ambushed by a rival pirate gang - The Black Fins. The heroes made short work of them and then were led to The Crimson, Captain Blood's enormous ship docked in the harbor. The Crimson was one of the few ships in the world that could sail on sea and in air.
They met Captain Blood, who was a huge Triclops. He told them he would tell them the secret route to navigate the Remnants and find Flint but only if they retrieved something for him: the sword and compass of one of the most infamous pirates of all time: Anne Turner. She and her ship the Jade Rebellion were lost in the Lower Depths over twenty years ago and no one has every been able to find them.
Cyrus and company agreed to Blood's terms and set off for the last known coordinates of the Jade Rebellion. They entered the Lower Depths and were confronted by a Sky Squid. Kale took the device Snow had used on their ship and changed it to it emitted the sound of a Sky Whale, the predator of the Sky Squid. The squid ran away but unfortunately the sound attracted a huge Sky Whale twice the size of a Sky Squid!
The Sky Whale got its massive jaws around The Owl and thrashed the ship back and forth. Cyrus shot a harpoon into the whale and Lady Blackbird used her storm magic to electrify the hull and make the whale release them. Kale jury-rigged the device he had used before to make a Sky Squid mating call and attract the squid back to them. The whale pursued the squid, allowing them time to escape.
After traveling some more, they emerged below the Lower Depths and found a tropical island surrounded by a beautiful ocean. They landed on the island and found they could breathe the air fine. But they were worried what dangers awaited them on this to-good-to-be true paradise...

EPISODE 5 - GHOST CAPTAINS, BEACH FUN, AND SEX!
They broke out their swimsuits and sunblock and relaxed on the beach! Snow let Kale put some sunblock on her and tried to make Cyrus jealous by complimenting Kale. Snargle decided to go naked, which was not an appealing sight for anyone.
After their fun in the sun, they got down to business, changing into jungle gear and hacking their way through the interior of the island. A huge snake wrapped itself around Snargle, but Cyrus was able to cut the slimy serpent off him.
They used the metal detectors they brought from the ship and got a signal in the middle of the island. But it was oddly coming from right below them. They suddenly fell through the jungle floor and plummeted into an underground lake. They found themselves in a large cavern, dimly lit by luminescent plants. They could make out something in the distance and swam toward it.
When they got closer, they could see it was a ship and they could make out Jade Rebellion on its hull. Kale used his grappling hook and scampered up the side to the deck and the others followed after he gave the all clear. They searched the Captain's quarters and found a skeleton with a jade amulet around its neck.
They found the journal of Anne Turner and were reading the last entry when Captain Turner herself appeared in the doorway. She told them they had been shipwrecked on the island for the past twenty years. Oddly, she appeared as if she hadn't aged in all that time.
She insisted they join her and her crew for dinner. They went back to the deck and found a large table completely set for dinner had appeared out of nowhere. Cyrus, Kale, and the others were wary of Turner and her crew, fearing they were ghosts or some other supernatural beings. And they were right!
Four of her crew passed into the bodies of Lady Blackbird, Naomi, Snargle, and Snow, taking control of them. They seized Cyrus and Kale. Turner revealed they had died on the island and become apparitions, and the only way the could escape was to inhabit the bodies of others. While she was deciding which of the two to possess, Cyrus used his warp ability to teleport out of the grasp of his possessed friends and onto an upper deck. He shot his dual pistols at Turner but they just passed through her.
Cyrus noticed the same jade pendant on the ghost Turner and yelled to Kale to destroy it. Kale used his light magic to blind the ghosts who had inhabited his friends' bodies and slashed out with his knife, shattering the pendant. Turner and the ghosts disappeared and their possessed friends went back to normal.
They recovered Turner's sword and compass and made their way back to The Owl. Lady Blackbird didn't seem to remember the sandcastle Cyrus had built for her a few hours earlier. On the ship, Snow invited Kale back to her quarters for some fun, and Lady Blackbird yanked Cyrus into his quarters for presumably some of the same extracurricular activities...

EPISODE 6 - POSSESSED!
Cyrus and Lady Blackbird had some fun naked adventures in his quarters. As presumably did Kale and Snow, though Kale was too much of a gentleman to say so. Snow was much more vocal about telling everyone about the private rendezvous.
Cyrus brought Lady Blackbird strawberries in bed, but she wasn't interested in them, which was strange as she always enjoyed strawberries in the past. Instead, all she wanted to do was drink as much rum as possible. She also didn't seem to remember that Captain Blood had given them a mission that led them to the haunted island.
Cyrus, Kale, and Naomi knew something wasn't right with Lady Blackbird and suspected that she had been possessed by Anne Turner or one of her ghostly crew back on the island.
Kale knew they needed a Master Spiritblood Sorcerer to get rid of the possession. He had met a man named Reese in Haven who had told him about such a sorcerer. Kale faked an engine problem so they would have to detour to Haven without alerting Lady Blackbird to their suspicions about her. They went to the town of Chastity and split up.
Kale and Snow found Reese at his magic/psychic shop, called Reese's Psychic Pieces. Besides selling magic and occult items, it was also a candy shop and had a pancake station too! Reese was quite the character, trying to sell them all manner of unusual stuff and also trying to read their thoughts, usually with rather incorrect results. He stole some money from Kale (his fee for the information) and told them of a Spiritblood Sorcerer named Necrodius and where they could find him. He implanted the information and map in Kale's mind, along with some other really weird stuff Kale wish he didn't know about. He also told them that Necrodius's favorite candy was Booger-Flavored Jelly Babies (gross!), so Snow took some along.
Meanwhile, Cyrus and Naomi were taking Lady Blackbird to The Octopus's Garden entertainment complex as a distraction. But she got wise to their plan and dashed away. They chased after her but she blasted them with her powerful lightning magic, injuring them.
She almost slipped away but Naomi, knowing the Lady better than anyone, caught a glimpse of her dashing into an alley and they resumed their pursuit. They used Pudding's telepathy to communicate to Kale and Snow where they were pursuing Lady Blackbird.
Kale used his Jump Magic to leap him and Snow in front of Lady Blackbird. He partially blinded her with Light Magic and did an amazing twisting dodge of her Lightning Magic while Snow got the magic restraining collar around Lady Blackbird's neck. Cyrus and Naomi rushed in and grabbed Lady Blackbird. They tied her up, gagged her, and wrapped her in a blanket.
They put her inside a steam-powered carriage, pulled by mechanical steam horses (super-cool!). They traveled a couple of hours and went to the EverMist Streams, where they were supposed to find Necrodius. It was a beautiful area with lush grass, forests, streams, and a waterfall.
Kale knew from Reese there was a secret passage behind the waterfall. They went through the passage and emerged in a grove. Necrodius's voice boomed out. They told him Reese had sent them. Unfortunately, Necrodius was not a fan of Reese. However, he did like that they brought the Booger-Flavored Jelly Babies. But he made them eat some first as a test. They somehow managed to swallow the disgusting candy.
Cyrus told Necrodius they believed Lady Blackbird was possessed and they needed his help to free her. They awaited the strange sorcerer's answer...

EPISODE 7 - CAPTAIN FLINT
The Spiritblood sorcerer Necrodius told them he'd help get the ghost out of Lady Blackbird but only if they entertained him first. So Snargle shapeshifted into what looked like a hippopotamus and Cyrus did some fancy gunslinging, shooting an apple off Snargle's head while Kale did a cool light-magic fireworks display around them. Then at Necrodius's request, Naomi saw how far she could toss Snargle. The poor goblin wound up crashing into a tree.
Necrodius was thrilled with the show they put on and materialized in front of them, revealing that she was a ten-year-old girl. She used her magic to expel the ghost inhabiting Lady Blackbird's body. They saw it was Anne Turner who had possessed Lady Blackbird.
Cyrus asked Turner if she knew how to navigate through the Remnants and reach Flint's secret base. Turner said she did, it was actually her base back in the day, but she saw no reason to help them. Necrodius told her she wouldn't banish her to the netherworld and would let her stay in the grove with her if she helped Cyrus and company.
Turner agreed and took over Naomi's body briefly to draw them a map to Flint's base. She also hinted at her having sex with Cyrus while she was in Lady Blackbird's body, but Cyrus tried to quickly cover that up, as Lady Blackbird had no memory of what happened while she was possessed.
Necrodius wanted Pudding to stay with her because she loved cats and was lonely. Pudding agreed, liking children, and Snow decided to stay as well to make sure Pudding was okay.
The rest made their way back to The Owl, but not before the merchants whose shops they trashed chasing the possessed Lady Blackbird spotted them. They were none too pleased, but Cyrus threw money at them and into the crowd, distracting everyone as they booked it to the ship.
They traveled back to Nightport and Captain Blood of the Red Sails. They gave him Turner's sword and compass and he gave them a mechanical sphere that would show them the way through the Remnants.
Snargle lived up to his billing as an amazing pilot and traversed the Remants, the shards of rock and ice missing the ship by mere inches.
When they emerged from the Remnants, they found several pirate ships waiting for them. After confirming they had Lady Blackbird on board, they were led to a landing pad by a huge, forbidding-looking fortress.
Slappy, one of Flint's pirates, led them through and up the fortress. It was like traveling back in time as many ancient relics lined the walls, including dragon-themed items from the mysterious Jade Empire.
They finally reached the top of the fortress and entered Flint's throne room. Flint was an imposing figure, but he smiled upon seeing Lady Blackbird. Yelling out "Natasha," he took her in his arms and kissed her passionately, leaving the other unsure as to what Flint would do with them...
