Rumor has it that Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida is creating a NEW theme park that is entirely dedicated to Video Game Properties. The rumor suggests that it won't just bring to life Nintendo games but ALSO Activision Blizzard's World of Warcraft!
Some sites are reporting that a Mario Kart ride is currently in the works for the park, as well as attractions based on Pokemon and The Legend of Zelda. World of Warcraft is predicated to have a big presence in the park, which makes sense considering Universal is the studio behind the upcoming Warcraft film adaptation. What?! This is crazy! If this is true, what games would you most want to see brought to life in a theme park? More info can be found on IGN and Nerdist. Brett DaSilva invites us on to his new show "Geek Happenings" and we chat San Diego Comic Con, Web Series, Video Games, Movies, Arby's and so much more! Check it out! One of my favorite things at last year's San Diego Comic-Con was doing the Assassin's Creed Experience and the Leap of Faith where you get to recreate the most iconic moment from the Assassin's Creed video games by leaping off a 25 foot tower onto a huge inflatable crash pad. I hate heights but summoned up the courage to do it last year and it was the biggest rush! So when I saw they were bringing it back this year I leaped (haha - okay sorry) at the chance. This time I got to leap off Big Ben as they were promoting their upcoming Assassin's Creed: Syndicate game. I actually did it twice this year it was so much fun and got to do the parkour course too! Here's a video of my doing the Leap of Faith at this year's SDCC! Has anyone else done it? Who else was at SDCC this year? More pics and videos of amazing panels there coming soon! - Jeff Our friends at Star Wars.com want to know which Luke Skywalker you are! Netflix has announced the casting of Elektra in Daredevil! French actress Elodie Yung has been tapped to play Matt Murdock's sometimes lover, sometimes enemy. While details are scarce on how the character will be introduced, season one fans will remember an Easter egg that alludes to an ex-girlfriend of Murdock's that could be argued to be the trained assassin. What do you think of the news, SGU?
The official Han Solo origin story is coming to us in movie form, folks! That's right - our favourite smuggler is getting his own stand alone film! Set to release in May of 2018, the film will explore Solo's younger years and just how he came to be at a certain cantina on a planet far, far away. And to say that the internet is a little excited is an understatement. Bets are being placed on who will be tapped to play the younger version of Solo, with guesses ranging from Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul to Jurassic World's Chris Pratt. Who do you think should play Han? Let us know in the comments below!
Nicole and Jeff have only been at SDCC for a day and they've already gotten some awesome photos! Here are a couple of fun facts: they were among the first in the world to take a photo with that racer from Star Wars and all the DC costumes are the originals from the movies and TV shows! Anyone else jealous yet?
