So just seeing the words "Starfleet" and "United Federation of Planets" is enough to get us excited for the next Star Trek film! The third installment in the rebooted series of Trek films will be called Star Trek Beyond and helmed by the furious Justin Lin. Well he's probably not that furious in real life but he did direct four of the Fast and Furious movies (numbers three through six).
From the title, it sounds like the Enterprise crew may get to venture farther out than in previous reboot installments. What would you like to see in the new Trek film and do you think Lin is a good choice to take over from J.J. Abrams? Let us know in the Comments below! And for more info head on over to the cool cats at Collider!

Always excited for a new Trek anything. I did like what Abrams did with the first, but the second wasn't as great, and seemed to be more anti-authority with its tone, even among the members of the Enterprise. It will be interesting to see how things look going forward, and I wonder looking at the uniforms, is it something on a whole new level, or an attempt to go backwards, as it almost look like Enterprise series uniforms. Crossing fingers.

I agree with you Eros. I am impressed with what Abrams is doing with the Star Trek universe. He's not slandering it like most remakes tend to do. I hope that he does get rid of one stipulation that goes with the Star Trek franchise, and that's the "A red shirt is a dead shirt" You know how in the lading parties anyone with a red shirt was usually the 1st to wind up dead.....a long running joke in the Trek universe. :-D
