Joel McHale (Community) has signed on for a guest starring role on Fox’s upcoming limited series “The X-Files,” Variety has confirmed. Variety also states that McHale will play Tad O’Malley, a conservative news anchor who becomes an unlikely ally for Fox Mulder (David Duchovny).
